1.8 - more gutless than usual

Poor old girl was getting very slow off the mark, and felt to be dragging more than usual. Recently serviced under the bonnet but I'll admit I'd neglected the fuel filter for a while.

Went to change it this morning, and the waste fuel coming out looked like oil - it was black !

New one fitted and it's driving like a different car - back to as perky as a 1.8 ever is

I don't think my 1,8 is any slower than usual, but perhaps it's time to install the filter that's been laying on the shef for the past couple of years

oil change. is your tyre pressure right air filter does it need changing. some times a good bit of TLC.try running some cat cleaner through it might help

The TLC is normally a given - but just goes to show what happens if you neglect the fuel filter.

if the lot looked black you should run an injector cleaner mate, just think what the inside of your injectors looks like even though you put in a clean filter, the injectors are probably dirty now...

My MOT emission tests were pretty constant til I did this, then they went down.
