Wheel refurb and tyre valve question

HI ALL
I am in the early stages of refurbishing a set of 18" twin top alloys to go on the vectra I know I could farm them out but I want the satisfaction of doing them myself the question I have is the wheel bolt recess are quite deep and pretty ropey has anybody any ideas how to get right into these and prep them properly?Also the wheels are fitted with stubby little metal tyre valves and looking at pics of others they are all fitted with these are these commonly fitted to any alloys or are they specifically for Vauxhall/twin tops? Thanks

The tyre valves sound like they could well be TPMS type

I picked up some snowies last week and a couple of them have stubby little bolt in valves but not TPMS, OE fit maybe?
