I have access to all normal bc functions using steering wheel controls on left and volume channel or track change is right controls. New head unit included can bus decoder box and seems it works spot on. And on the unit is options for opel settings so instructions say it is plug and play with any opel car that fits this head unit in. Might be wrong somewhere along the line I'm not electronic minded and far from any expert i really don't know how it still works and only had fitted few days but as in pic 2 above the setting button is available to use on screen or use left scrollers. Hopefully 1 day this week I'll get onto local garage and tech 2 to see what he can do so I still get access to vauxhall secret menus using this head unit if possible. And @Woody thanks for that I'm still thinking over and bit short funds at min but I havent forgot the possibilities we discussed thanks for that confirmation I can still go ahead in future.

With the correct patch lead you should be able to fit any aftermarket head unit and the BC will still work from the steering controls. I've got a Pioneer unit fitted and the BC works from steering wheel control, long press on one of the buttons and it pops up on the CID along with normal clock settings etc

There's no adaptor or patch lead needed for these.
These are model specific, designed to work all functions on the car including steering wheel controls, BC etc.
You only need the connects2 interface or similar if your fitting a generic aftermarket head unit.

I fitted a similar unit about 2 years ago to my 06 Vectra. All plug and play as far as the head unit went, just a few teething problems with the accessories. BC still works fine on the LH steering wheel controls and radio functions from the RH side
