Hi all hope I can get some help on this troublesome problem with my 57 plate 1.9 estate.
I have read through reams of threads regarding this fault code (Particulate filter pressure sensor hose line malfunction) and I’ve now replaced the entire pressure hose from the dpf to the sensor with injector hose and I’ve also replaced the sensor itself. And reset it in op-com. Still the fault flags up and every few days the spanner light comes on. I have had the flashing glow plug up once in the last week and op-com showed a regen has been done within 55kms. I’ve also tried some spray in cleaner through the dpf where sensor pipe connects via a plastic straw so I know that’s clear also. So I’m now assuming it’s a wiring fault but I’m unable to find a diagram or any values that I should see at the pins to test circuit. Is there any usual weak spots in the wiring or have I missed something. I purchased the car as a cheap work horse and to run from Gloucester to Newcastle in a few times a month so I’m reluctant to spend money on a dpf delete. Other than this the car pulls like a train and drives flawlessly so Any help would be much appreciated. If it does come to a delete any recommendations I see we have a few tuners in the forum. Any Local to Gloucester area ?

Was it a cheap sensor or genuine?

It was a cheap eBay sensor but is giving me the same out put readings as the original one. Pressure increases with revs from -2 to +1 voltage around 0.4 filter saturation is 34% been long motorway runs all week.

Get a gen or Bosch sensor, Vauxhall’s don’t like the cheap 1s, they only throw up faults

So quick update. Wiring to the sensor seems ok I have correct voltage and earth. Nothing from terminal 3 which is the output signal from either the old sensor or new one. That said with the engine running I can’t feel any pressure from the hose either but I did notice I have a leak at the EGR flexi pipe at the exhaust manifold end. Would this be enough of a leak to flag up this fault. My other thought is that there’s no pressure there because the DPF has already been tampered with. What’s you guys thoughts on this ?? Also can I blank the EGR valve off without having it mapped out ?

Fiat did a blanking plate with small holes in to cut down on the soot coming in

If the DPF had been tampered with but not mapped out, it would be constantly trying to regenerate (copious smoke pouring out)

Should be 2 hoses from the DPF, one at the front, one at the rear, sensor works by comparing the difference between the 2
Also will be a temp sensor in the DPF also.

Only 1 pipe from DPF and yes there is a temp sensor. I’m going to drop the DPF off the car this weekend and and have a look inside see if it has been tampered with.
