Hi m8 mine seems to be doing this and ive put it down to the dmf... sometimes if im in a too higher gear and its labouring its does it really bad so i have to change down im on my second clutch....clutch its self is fine no slipping of anything like that just the dmf (reman LUK dmf) crap and some times esp when the engine is warm/hot and i start it, it starts with a violent shudder and metallic squeel and i ALWAYS depress the clutch when i start it

Mine starts with a shudder but I put that down to one of the injectors till now
Oddly my DMF isn't really knocking (unlike another I heard that was banging like a outside latrine door) mine generally is also not too bad when hot (albeit lacking in power) for starting....

Well the car has now thrown a wobbly
Blanked the flaps, no more blue smoke on startup, idle better also
However = now stuttering / juddering on acceleration, also cutting out at times and tonight no power at all, then suddenly came in hard like it used to do....MAP sensor ordered from Opie, see if that clears it up. Failing that - going to clean the connections on the ECM/Replace it, then see if I can get the left hand (as you look at it) sensor on the common rail mapped out (was removed from later iterations and it gets blooming hot in use which makes me wonder if its on the blink) and failing that....decide if its worth putting a new turbo and intercooler on or not

Not yet, motor is still electrically connected but actuator arm removed, thing is, it doesnt do it all the time either, doesn't check CELs - which makes me think its either the MAP (which a lot of the symptoms fit), the ECM playing up or the 1 non refurbed injector playing up....though I'm leaning towards the first 2 options.

number 3 swirl flap should still move if you have not mapped it out,but i would get mapped out first

Shouldn't affect things as long as the motor is still connected electrically and therefore still moves when the ECU commands.
However Saabs software might be a bit more "picky" than vauxhalls........
However the symptoms do match those of a failing MAP sensor. However new one gets here Monday hopefully.

Doesnt need mapping out, what you’ve done is the tried and tested solution. You don’t have any flaps to map anymore so it’s pointless even getting them mapped open. Afaik there is no option to remove the actuator motor unless it’s been done in the last couple of years and I’ve not picked up on it as I wouldn’t have asked the master as I’ve not been tuning a z19dth for a few years now so you’ve done the right thing keeping it plugged in. The position the ecu thinks the flaps are in is irrelevant
