Has vvoc gone?

Just went to have a nose on there as I’ve not been on for years and it doesn’t load anything. Has it shut down?

im the same buddy...…….not been able to find it, nevermind access it for about a week now.

just had a message from another long time member on VVOC

apparently.............its now closed due to Dunc not paying the monthly server fees.
The original founder, Jim has took back whats left of it and is trying to relaunch it.

why hes trying to do this, is beyond me as it was virtually dead for a long time.
I joined it in 2003 and attended meets all over the UK and was a superb forum....but as the cars get older, then it falls away as usual.

it is one of those things that happens to older ar forums... they die than all of a sudden they'll get an influx of new owners that just got their hands on them and really love them...
same goes for loads of car forums...

Mainly down to the staff on Vvoc , a lot of silly little boys banning people becauce they didn’t like them (true story lol) so much for being impartial.... shame as it was a good spot at one time and still has a fair few die hard fans of the cars but in the wrong hands it was only a matter of time ....

i was banned once coz i commented on something that one of the moderators had done to their car.
he didn't like my comment and I got banned for a month and called a keyboard gangster.

him and his girlfriend were both mods on it.....if that rings a bell lol
