    Default LMF 'Head Up Display'

Does anyone have the above? (see here - http://www.lmfvauxhall.com/prodCatal...x=&deptIndex=0 )

If so, is it any good? I like the idea, but it has the potential to be one of those useless gimmicky xmas pressies from marks&sparks that goes straight in the bin!!

I posted about this a while back, I reckon it would go into the middle speaker hole on the dash, if so it would look pretty damned good imo ..

I wish they would starting building it into mainstream models

They could remove the cruise control and have this instead

It would if you were prepared to butcher (remove) the surround that held the speaker in place.

From a technology point of view, I'd be dubious. Ditchp has a point. The focal length of the HUD should be at infinity so that the speed remains in you vision when required. If the focal length is the distance to the screen, two things occur.

    1. Eye fatigue
    2. the image will obscure you view of the road.

and finally if the focal length is wrong, you have not got anything better than looking down at your dash.
