Vectra c 1.9 cdti 120 58 w/dpf
Car broke down the other day, felt like a fuel run out, the light was on but not flashing. Started chuntering then came to a stop. Put fuel in and it wouldn't idle. It would fire up but die off after a couple seconds.
Anyway decided to pull the vacuum hose off from the solenoid to the pump and it started first time, idled fine, but obviously my turbo isn't running.
I've taken apart the vacuum solenoid, cleaned it out and put it back together but still no joy. If I start the car with it unplugged it will idle fine, but once I plug it back in it gets lumpy and either cuts out after a while or is really lumpy. I can feel it working though so not sure if this is the problem or just a coincidence. Can't see any splits in the hoses either, although I've not been able to check the one that runs under the engine to the turbo yet.
I started it with the solenoid unplugged (it won't start without it unplugged) plugged it back in and cleared the codes with an obd reader. It throws up p2279.
I serviced it just over a week ago. Oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter.
The anti shudder flap in the throttle body doesn't fully close, if at all, when I turn the engine off, oil in the electronics too and the egr was stuck solid. Cleaned this all out when I serviced it, freed up the egr and cleaned the map sensor too. All was running fine until this. Maybe a little hesitant below 2000rpm.
I'm getting readings on the maf sensor from the obd adapter ~5 g/s while idling.
Any ideas?
