    Vehicle : Vectra 2.0 dti

    Trim : SXi

    Engine : Diesel

    Year : 53

    Mileage : 105k

    Default P0400 2.0 dti

Any help with these codes please?
P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Feedback Signal Malfunction
P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Low Voltage
P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Open

Car goes into limp mode but a flick of the key sorts it for the rest of the day.

    Thanks

You might want to take the time to clean the egr and check the wiring....

Thanks for the quick reply. I have cleaned the egr and sensors etc. Just seems to do it when cold when it's warmed up it's fine. A few years ago I had the intake manifold off and cleaned that out and replaced all the vac hoses with silicone pipes. It went great and I regularly give things a clean up but just recently started getting P0400 again. Will double check wiring plugs as you say.

If it's of any use, I think I still have the EGR blanking plate and electronic 'cheater' for the egr from when I removed the valve from my old DTI a few years back. Kept it for a thread like this
It's sitting in my shed if you want it
I bought it off a guy in Poland on EBAY. Had it fitted for two years and never gave a moments bother, never had an EGR code once fitted

    Thanks for the offer CLUB04.
After clearing the codes and cleaning the EGR again it hasnt happened since.
One thing i did notice was that when the temp dropped around -5 the car didnt like it at all.
It would drop into limp mode within the first mile or two while it was still cold.
When it warmed up it would be ok. Its strange because when I first had the car 4 years ago it would
do it during long journeys when everything was up to temp.
Its creeping toward 150k now so time for a change maybe.

When I had my DTI I had the manifold off, top level wasn't too bad, but the layer below was something else, the holes were about 1/8 the size they should have been, ended up scraping it all out, no wonder it was chucking negative throttle deviation errors at me.
Your case might just have been corroded terminals or a plug worked loose?
