Had FB account, deleted it two years ago and I think it's good decision. I simply don't need virtual friends and time wasting platform.

This sounds harsh but its not a dig at anyone
Problem with "banning" stuff is its a slippery slope and one the government is happily taking us down at a very very rapid rate, some might say its a "useful" excuse for state to censor to ensure a "harmonious society" aka ala China. One person's "sick filth" is another's historical footnote. We are rapidly becoming more of a police state than the DDR (East Germany) ever was - see logging everyone's internet use for a year, facial recognition camera's, etc.
I know some stuff is horrific out there however people treat the net like a TV station when instead its a reflection of the real world, crammed into the equivalent of large rooms where anyone can shout what they like, when they like.
Parental controls are a must. You wouldn't let under 18s go to a Roy Chubby Brown show (Well hopefully not), yet all too many treat internet connected devices as always "family friendly". Teenagers will always seek out forbidden and shocking stuff and get themselves in too deep due to the bravado of youth (how many on here never borrowed a "gentleman's mag" from a friend or watched a movie well before they were old enough to?) Some things never change its just the means and the visibility of it thats altered. Its always been there, except now the media fill their pages with it everyday, knowing that scare stories sell and always have.
Instagram et al are US corporations and ergo as their servers are USA based that means covered by first amendment (along with no sex but graphic violence, incitement to murder well knock yourselves out attitudes)
