Looking to get HIDs and just wondered what’s the best temp to get ? I want bright white with just a hint of blue. So I’m thinking 5000k or 6000k ?
What’s everyone else fitted ??
Thanks

I have had 8k and 10k before an they where garbage no experience with 5 or 6 tho but the will be whiter than what I had. The 10k where near purple lol
Now you’ve opened up a can of worms, when I’m home I’ll try and remember and give you the best combo if you remember me doing a lot of testing a while back.
But basically it’s the best ballast you can get with a high efficiency, so like a londoncolour 35w ballast and if you get the cheap H7 6k hids that are about £5 for a pair then the light output is very bright and gets a lot of light on the road and it’s a perfect white with a hint of blue.
Assuming your talking about adding this to a standard halogen headlight of course

Yes. Have just had the hid function turned on so just waiting to get the kit now. I searched for London colour on eBay but couldn’t see any ?
Yeah agreed! I've got 8000k and they are pony tbh, going for 6000k soon ..put 5000k in replacing the 4300k in my honda yesterday and that was a great improvement
6k 55w kit.
London colour is wayyyyyyy too expensive.
Buy a kit off eBay, a set of cancellers and get the xenons activated in your car.
Sorted.
6000k is the one with a little hint of blue
5000k is the one that has a hint of yellow
4300k is what manufactures use and should be white but it's more yellow... yellow light has one quality you will notice quickly if you go from halogen to 6000k it doesn't reflect on rain/snow or ice unlike the 6000k colour.... I had 5000k before but I didn't like the yellow hint it had... so swapped them for 6000k.
My hid kid has been on 3 cars and when I put mine on the vectra I finally bought new 6000k bulbs... they were fine by the way I just wanted new bulbs
I found their ballasts to be the best performing ones output wise so much so the 35w ballasts were close or better than other 55w makes. Their lamps however I had some issues with hence testing the cheap ones which have worked the best.
When xenon is activated then cancellers are not needed although some report errors like Nikroc did so might be worth putting them inline as well eh.

I had the xenons activated in mine and still needed cancellers.
I've had the 35w kit and I personally found they were not as good as the 55w kit.
Others have also stated this.
The kit that's still in the vectra have been in for over 5 years and still going strong.
It was an auto father kit and it cost £15.99
I dare say, the bulbs could be doing with being replaced but as I don't drive it now............lol
Can i fit a hid conversion kit into my AFL's as I wouldn't mind giving a 55w set a go maybe upgrade the main beam too
I know I have xenon already fitted in Them but the 34w ain't all that imo
