You could try looking for fuse and pulling it. Give it a thrash round an empty roundabout with and without it pulled. As for hardware I wouldnt have a clue im sorry. I can see Sig63 looking at the thread, Im sure he will be better at locating what your after.

If the ESP-light (it's orange) comes on for a few seconds after making contact, you will have it.
In the centre of the dash you have three symbols: left: ABS, middle: hydraulyc steering, right: ESP
Or otherwise: drive at some speed and turn the wheel brutally... the yellow light will flicker

    Hey Andyvec !

Can`t you call GM office in your country, and ask them for å print of all the spec`s in your car.

I called GM head office in Oslo (..I live in Norway). They send me 4 pages of spec`s of all the equipment that was mounted in my car at the factory.

    Best regard`s

Seems ludicrous that traction control should not be fitted as standard as on the Pre-facelift (except for 1.8 where it was an option). Surely it cannot be justified by any changes made to the facelift. Given that non-V6-engined Vectras are often (hic!) driven hard at similar speeds as V6's why was ESP limited as standard to V6's. Doesn't make sense. As I am ignorant, I would welcome being enlightened on this one. Surely it is high time that ESP were fitted to all new cars, like ABS now is (virtually).

I though all cars with ESP had the TC button fitted as standard to let you turn it off?

I think your right Nutron, if it was fitted as a cost option you would get the switch I would say ..

They don't, mine has ESP+ but you can't turn it off.

From my experience, I was at first shocked that my facelift SRi 1.9CDTi 150 did'nt have TC when my pre-facelift model SRi 1.9 CDTi 150 did.

But, the facelift car's chassis is so much better than pre-facelift, I don't think it needs it. If you have a re-map or tuning box, traction does become an issue on the 1.9, but in standard form you don't need it.

My facelift SRi could handle the power much better and traction was far superior than on my 04 reg SRi.

Just goes to show that maybe Vauxhall was right to drop it as they feel the chassis can cope with the power/torque better than what the pre-facelift did?.

I agree on what Matt says - and that is also the explanation given by Opel on the missing switch...
however each Opel Vectra/Signum over here has ESP+
