As of writing this I've had the car for about a month and I'm really enjoying the driving experience.
So far I've managed to do the following:
- Had the entire chain, guide and tensioner assembly replaced, good as new now!
- Cleaned up the vectra logo on the back (letters had fallen off some time in the past)
- Polished the headlights and turned the adjustment screw by 720 degrees
- Cleaned and Polished exhaust tips
- Recharged the battery because the alarm was going off constantly due to low voltage
- Fixed the rattling seatbelt adjuster in the right hand C pillar
- Retrofitted cigarette lighter (still need to get a new one because this one is damaged but it works)
- Retrofitted traction control button
- Refitted the right hand A pillar trim (one of the clips was loose)
- Gotten some new clips for the bonnet liner that had fallen out sometime in its past
- Replaced the battery box cover with one that actually closes properly
- Disassembled and cleaned up cruise control stalk because it intermittently didn't work
Still to do:
- Do the air box mod
- Replace front control arm bushings (ordered)
- Replace front sway bar bushings (ordered)
- Replace rear sway bar bushings (ordered)
- Replace pollen filter (ordered)
- Replace air filter (ordered)
- Replace front wipers (ordered)
- Replace rear wiper (ordered)
- Replace rear banana arms
- Get car aligned
- Replace rear view mirror (current moves too easily)
- Replace right hand side parcel shelf clip (currently broken off)
- Check serpentine belt and pulleys (something makes a slight noise)
- Check engine/gearbox mounts
- Find source of coolant smell
- Replace rear brake discs and pads
- Bleed brake + clutch system
- Paint brake calipers (still deciding on the color)
- Fix driver seat creaking on low position (found this)
- Find a way to keep the rear floormats from flying around
- Retrofit gas strut in glovebox for soft-open
- Retofit an Irmscher grill (let me know if you have one for sale)
This list will probably grow by a mile
And don't worry, I'll post some new pics when I make some.
Got an Irmscher Grill available. The one with the brushed strip at the top. Purchased new 3 years ago from Irmscher

I've checked some videos, but I don't even have a flat surface to work on... I do my maintenance mainly on the street.
You don’t specify if yours is hatch or an estate? A Signum roof loom will fit both but is tight in the estate

So I managed to get a few other things when I went back to the Signum
DSC_1007.jpg
Will probably fit these tomorrow depending on weather conditions
I did also get the cable for the auto dimming mirrors and had the pleasure of fitting it, whoever designed that c pillar trim with the parcel shelf mount on it should get shot.
But I tested it by shining my phone flashlight into the sensor, but it hasn't worked for me yet. Any other things I need to do to get this working?

I wouldn't bother with a flashlight....take it out in the dark, it should work.
As long as you've all the proper loom etc, then there's no reason why it shouldn't work, but usually artificial light doesn't do it.

Drove it around a bit tonight, but no dimming whatsoever, I may have to check the cable to see if it's not broken somewhere...
Sadly I didn't get around to fitting the foglight surrounds because it was raining constantly, I'll see if I can do it somewhere this week.

Since the weather was amazing today I finally fitted my new foglight surrounds, I must say it really makes a difference.

This also gave me a chance to re-align the bumper and the front right arch liner because it poked out of the arch a bit.
