Hi all got a 14plate insignia and just wondering how to get the text app on my intellink 900 if kt makes any diffrence i hve the touch pad equipt to radio system

To better expand on the no;

You can't as the first generation of Intellilinks (HMI 2.0) don't support text or apple carplay/android auto. Intellilinks from 2016 models onwards (HMI 2.5) do however it isn't a simple get one and plug and play. Requires a lot of programming and at present programming costs as much as the hardware itself

Ok thanks very much for the reply its just i have a 14 plate and my dad chaz851 has a 15 plate both same engines modles ect but diffrent radios thought it might need updating ect but thats cool thanks for replys

i do believe my 15 plate has the text messages app on it and thats a HMI 2.0, but s said apply play, android play and projection are only on the 2.5's

How would you get more apps on the system just seems a waste of radio for just audio phone phone nav settings, got arrows on sides of screen but do nothing??

I told you that you can not to get anything except that you already have in there, even if you update the software.
No chance.
Upgrade to android radio.

Yeah, it's a bit frustrating but there's nothing we can do about it.

The only trick I know is how to make this radio to play the songs from the folder , coz even that's not available on that radio.

Ah ok nice one anyway for the advice just vauxhall doing 1 thing to 1 year and another to another with the vectra c i was always putting a cd70 navi into them to make them better

I bought the car to calm down on bills for a cupple years i do like not paying for fuel every week and no tax and cheap insurance so will grin and vear it for a little longer lol
