    Default Brake pipe replacement

Ok guys, As I got an advisory for the front nearside break pipe corroding I've had a look and I'm not sure if there is an actual part number for a replacement or is it a case of copper piping and some connectors. I looked on ecat24 and there are a few pictures of brake pipes with part numbers but they don't look like the pipe that's needing replaced?

    These are the part numbers...

    2 9177113 5562225 PIPE,BRAKE,6.0 MM OD.,PLASTIC COATED,SERVO UNIT AND MASTER CYLINDER,FRONT,LHD (FOR ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM) (IDENT ZG) (NLS.- USE 13130962 55 62 246) 1
    6 13187792 5562280 PIPE,BRAKE,6.0 MM OD.,PLASTIC COATED,SERVO UNIT AND MASTER CYLINDER,FRONT,LHD (IDENT HF) 1
    7 13187793 5562281 PIPE,BRAKE,6.0 MM OD.,PLASTIC COATED,SERVO UNIT AND MASTER CYLINDER,FRONT,LHD (IDENT HG

Would you agree with my initial post that the brake pipe is an actual part or is it something that has to be made up? I'm waiting for vx to phone me to pick up my IDS for the front so I'll bombard them with questions when I get there?

Well since both come up as buyable parts from gps you’d think so

Note that the ECAT does not list alot of parts that are only for cars with steering wheel on the right hand side. Your list of brake pipes have LHD in the description. I've never bought a o/e steel brake pipe for a car or m/c i've always made them up with copper nickel pipe or had them made up with same.

I'm not sure that the parts listed are the same as mine as took a photo and the bends look different, don't want to buy them and find out they are not the correct ones. I know I can return them if wrong but would like to know that they are the correct ones otherwise I'm going to have to look into getting pipes made up but there ain't many places near me anymore that do that sort of thing. Need to sort out my other problems as well as they seem to be mounting up. Maybe another VXR on the scrap heap before long?

Get the RHD versions confirmed by GPS then.

If its only brake pipes and parts of the vacuum and servo it will be a cheap fix for someone else if you get rid.

PM me your reg number and I'll crank up my copy of the Electronic Parts Catalogue in the morning and see what it says is available from Vx.
