I must be mistaken, but it really sounded like Brewer said at the end of this week's episode that "Wheeler Dealers has done its first Capri", which ignores the dog eared Capri 1.6 Laser they did decades ago - the one they totally bodged by spray pinting the wings with rattle cans in very hot weather, which caused the paint to dry even before it settled, giving an effect like sand paper. They then sold the car to a young woman who admitted she had no idea what a Capri was, she just wanted a cheap car - any cheap car. Those were the days...

They've only done one Opel car IIRC, an old Opel GT.
Probably have the same negative bias attitude to Vauxhall/Opel as Top Gear does.

this is what i found way back on the Vectra VXR: it is from EVO magazine..
You approach the VXR with lower expectations, but against the odds it really delivers. Like the Impreza, some of the details don't convince - the steering and gearchange particularly - but overall it's an exploitable, composed and exciting car to hustle along, with a lovely engine, superb traction and great brakes. In case you haven't guessed, it's much better than any of us had expected.

Just watched the Capri episode again. There are 4 mechanics listed in the closing credits, a lead mechanic and 3 more. Looks like Ant is just a presenter rather than doing any of the work.

Dodge SRT10 this week...Ram pickup truck with the 8 litre engine from the Viper. Is it my imagination or has virtually every car they've done this season had an oil leak and a worn clutch? Seriously, it's getting stupidly old hat now. Replace the main seal, change the clutch. Week after week. Does anyone in America drive a car that isn't leaking oil from the engine?
Also, has anyone else noticed that now only Mike, not Ant, diagnoses any faults? He notices the faults on the pre-purchase test drive, reports them to Ant, and Ant fixes them (or rather the 4 off-screen mechanics do while Ant flies back and forth to see his family). If Mike doesn't mention a fault when he hands the car over then it doesn't get fixed. Gone are the days of the mechanic (i.e. Edd) checking all the suspension joints for play with a pry bar to see if anything else needs to be fixed. It's like a combo of Ant wanting to deal with as few issues as possible and Mike wanting to fool us into thinking he's really mechanically adept and can diagnose all the problems himself.
