Beat them up as much as you can. Good luck.
I agree I did this with an insurance company who offered me rubbish money for my RS Turbo back in the day, but be prepared for a drawn out fight.

Looks like your right i can't list parts for sale so very unfortunatly a realy good z19dth engine with a rebuilt top end and automatic trans is going to be crushed. I'm going to remove the almost new alternator/starter/inlet manifold/powerflex bushes/ dpf/ and any other sensors i can find and then cry as the scrapman takes it away for a pittance.

Never thought about gumtree ,it has to be scrapped anyway as it's a cat B write off. I want to keep some parts as we still have 3 vectra's Z19dth automatics, but even though the engine and trans is spot on i don't want to keep them as i have enough things around me and its very heavy.

As well as Gumtree, try Shpock.

Or sign up as a full member. The sale of your goods should more than cover the membership price, and you'll have other perks too.

I have decided to remove a number of parts some of which are fairly new and as this was the car i did a full cylinder head/manifold rebuild i will remove this as well . I have decided i don't want it hanging around too long after i have removed the parts so have phoned the scrapman and he's willing to give 50 for the car with the parts missing and collect it so i will get all the parts for 50 having paid 100 for it. Pity realy as it has a good engine/autobox ect but.
