Looks nice, Probably going to be my next after the Signum.
Main thing that goes on the diesel is the oil pick up seal gets hard and gives low oil pressure warning on poorly serviced (Or cheap oil) engines.
I have heard of a few having crank failure and I guess that will be due to the oil pick up seal is there a way to avoid this issue?
very nice mate!
Ok is there a mileage that seal replacement should be done?
Is there an improved version of the seal/pick up pipe?
And can the sump come down without the gearbox coming off?
Vauxhall changed the seal to a better version after a certain engine number. Autovaux could give an indication on this as they sponsored a 2.0 diesel insignia project in in Car Mechanics magazine that had this issue that caused am engine rebuild. ..
If in doubt get it changed. The coast of the seal is cheap but the labour is the highest cost due to access.
If you've bought the car with a warranty get it noted on the paperwork that you hear metallic noises on initial startup ie indicating low oil pressure.
Plenty of videos on youtube if you search like this one but not the best https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7z5tGjfa9M
