So latest update since its been awhile.
I have been stockpiling parts for the car so i thought that i should make a start with some of them.............
Decided that i had some spare time so changed out the Boost divertor valve which was easy to do. 3 bolts and a connection.

showed a little bit of wear but how changed seems to boost better so pleased.
next was the EVAP valve. I did not have the trouble of struggling to start after filling but thought that at £30 then why not but Idles alot smoother now also.

Carried out an oil change, been 5,000 miles sine the last one and 10 months so though that i might as well. Car is not on 123,000 miles and rising daily

You don’t need cd70 to have tpms I’ve got cdc40 and cid with added tpms. If you’ve got o.c. might be easier to use 09 Astra to set up as the veccy one doesn’t always give full options. And when you have all plumbed in put rears to Higher pressure than front until it’s gathered info then reset pressure to correct values front higher.

Jon - thanks for the advice, when you say O.C - i take it that you meant OPCOM?
My CDC40 has some dead pixels on the screen and with DAB moving to DAB+ that the unit apparently cant tune into also i have a comfort unit courtesy of woody so buy using the CID from the CD70 i will be able to use that screen as a monitor for the cam.

It’s not the cdc40 that’s lost the pixels it’s the gid display that’s had it. Which you could just replace with the cid just unpair and repair it with a cid.
i see what you mean about the dab but can’t figure out why you won’t to go to a navi system which hasn’t been updated since about 2014. You can still use the comfort unit with cdc40 and get one of those dab’s you fit on the screen.
when you do get a cid make sure it’s divorced or if you get the pair make sure you get the pin or it’s another £30 to get out unless you know someone.

Jon, Thanks for the advice.
I meant the screen had lost some pixels, right where the temperature is. I dont know anyone that can Marry/divorce the units
Current plan is use all items that i have in my garage from my old cdti, CD70 with Aux, CID screen, fit reversing camera, comfort unit and box of tricks from woody, wire in Twin Audio.
The vxr has a parrot CK3100 but its not very good & was fitted by a previous owner.
Only part that i had to buy is a Pure 600 DAB receiver like you suggested. that will also give me hands free and stream via Spotify to either the pure 600 or use the Aux in.
