THey were going to do it for my other one, just not the VXR.
cant get the video to load but the day afetr getting the screen fixed, my linkage went crazy.
Luckily i knew there was play and i ordered some and they came 2 hours before the failure.
Guess what job im doing this week. more ball ache with the VXR.

So after all the issues that i have been having with the screen/wiper arm is started i decided to fit a K&N panel filter.
I turned my attention to the boot.....

So after my new screen last week and the failure of the NS wiper. was time to get fixing.
On the old linkage, i found that someone had bodged a previous repair. The wiper linkage had previously failed and rather than going new arms. they drilled the ball joint and stuck
a "R" Pin to hold the linkage on.
New joint is holding fine but needs a new linkage to make me happy.

No knocking and decent price.
So while i was in there, New cabin filter since i had it in stock of parts. Also cleaned out the scuttle drain.

Next was the bonnet rubbers that was missing.

Then some new gm wipers and a ceramic screen coating courtesy of Gtechniq.

I also had delamination of the chrome strips so trip to a small local breakers was in order.

So i had a free night at the weekend....
Decided that it was time to make the vxr light up with the rest of the clock illumination. such a pity that these did no tcome like this as standard.
so clocks removed and dismantled, backing scratched off the back of the VXR so that it lights up.

Also carried out a spark plug and coil change. im not sure if it was actually required but i could not find anything in the service book so i thought why not.
Denso plugs gapped to 0.7mm and all 6 ignition coils fitted.

these are the old coils. not sure if that the manufacture date on them but looked ok condition.
