Signum Drivers side leak
HI,
I have a drivers side leak... I know the scuttle issue and have cleared the drains.
I was in a car wash and mist started to come out of the vents (aircon was on as it was a hot day)
On the way home realised the carpet was swimming.
So I cleared the scuttle again.
Water was still getting in and I have spent a few months drying it out, Still really swamped. And I can't find the leak.
The 2ndary issue... The fan has stopped working - all 7 speeds. Therefore now driving around in a swimming pool I can't demist or get dry.
I have pulled up the carpets and looked for the leak with a hose going all over the car.
I did spot this - a foam washer that was sodden but no real water ingress.
Any ideas?

Isn’t that the location of the heater matrix? Have you been loosing coolant at all?
Also how you park and has this only happened when it’s rained?

Hi, sorry been away, so apologies for slow response.
No coolant loss.
Parked on driveway outside - its flat.
Its only on the drivers side...
other than the scuttle issues is the another way for water to get in to the drivers side.
The boot is dry, doors seem dry...
SO the first time I noticed the issue was in the very dry summer after going through a car wash. How could water get into the heater matrix?
thanks

It's a Signum V6 Elite Manual (quite rare I believe) that just needs some love I think...

Hi, take a look at the aircon drainage, I had the same problem and found that the drainage was blocked by gunk. Just put a screw or something into it and see if water starts to pour out.

One of our signums has the same issue and as yet I've failed to find the source.

have you checked the roof rails if it has them,as the fixing rivets become loose and let water in
