Exactly! I suppose it saves on wear and tear of a lock barrel, but for something even more expensive when it all goes wrong
I think they did that for people who complained about the keyless system... especially when it comes to locking my neighbour had a rented mercedes a200 hatchback for a week and see didn't like it at all the car would lock and unlock even if she went to just walk the dog... so i see a reason for it but does it make sense? no it doesn't just get used to it and your done... that said she kept walking back to see if it was locked... that cracked me up when she asked me why i was laughing i told her just walk off the car will lock no need to check.
thanks for the replies, as for model? only seen it in the garage, my son also bought one same day same garage, they sourced them for us but his is 6 months older not keyless , smaller wheels (now replaced) , no front fogs but generally same as mine. large sat nav screen but hand winders, think the base model. Im sure ours is also winders.
back to original question though, do the doors have wiring for the rear electrics, same loom or can there be a sub loom supplied that plugs in? the garage said they could wire in a set of front fogs for my son so thinking there must be a plug available?
