Design is the poverty spec - I have one and it's a 1.5T 165. It's a lovely car to drive, a bit down on power /torque than the Vectra C I had, but quick enough for me.
Yes, it takes some time to get used to, but once you have, it's a lovely looking car and IMO is light years ahead of the Vectra 'C's I had before. So keenly priced when launched, before list prices went up by £2K.
Onstar was standard-fit across all trims, but is now a £500 cost option, as is keyless entry. Keyless entry was standard with keyless start, but now only keyless start is standard.
The electric handbrake should release automatically as you move off.
VX/Opel have already started removing items from the specs including on SRI's.
I have read that the Insignia B is due a mild facelift in 2020.
I've had a Design 1.5T Sports Tourer for about a month now and I'm getting to love it. It's lowest spec as said but I wouldn't call it poverty spec! I did add dual zone climate, winter pack and reversing camera etc, so it has rear cross traffic alert and advanced park assist (which I haven't used yet). It does take some getting used to but having come from a 14 year old vectra my main niggle is information overload. I think the touchscreen display is going to be the norm from now on - I guess it's all part of the evolution towards self driving cars.
I find it really nippy for the size and it's got bags of legroom. Fuel economy is on a par with the vec 1.8 at the moment but it's gradually improving.
I do have one big niggle though - fuel filling. Pump won't flow without constantly cutting out. Only way I could get it to work this morning was by rotating the nozzle 180 degrees so the handle was facing up.
All in all good car. Looks sleek too.
