Default Enabled BC on GID but range not showing.

    Hi, I have a 2008 1.9 CDTI 120 with the opera 40 and GID.
I have had the BC enabled by increasing the index code by 1 as suggested on the forum but it still does not show range on the display, just BC 1 and BC 2. Anyone got any ideas if it can be done? I also want to switch to a CID at some point but keep the original CDC 40 as it has factory DAB installed is this easily done with Tech 2 or similar?

Have you tried some different index codes?

Range left is only shown on the main screen and not BC1 and BC2

Thanks Plasma but I cannot find it on any screen even if i turn off the head unit. Ist it possible to code a colour screen to the cdc 40 with tech 2 or similar? I know it needs to be divorced from its original head unit but is it easily coded to the new head unit? I am just waiting for the car pass for my car to arrive before I can do it.

Thanks for your reply. will any colour screen work or does it need to be a certain model number? I have now got range on my GID the index code had been changed but BC had not
    been enabled in tech 2.

If I recall correctly you will also need the air vents since the CID is wider than the GID, and therefore needing a bigger square hole.

I just used the OpCom to enable BC with range and two trip counters.
