only thing we've come across is the fixing points for the arbs are very slightly different, facelift having 2 piece arb's and preface using a single piece. we had to mod the shackle slightly to get it to fit
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services

myself and plasma fitted a preface 04 subframe to his facelift and like he has said above the anti roll bar d bushes are different .
to get the facelift anti roll bar bushes to fit the preface subframe we had to elongate the holes for the mounting bolts on the shackles .
the bolt fixings on the preface are closer together than the facelift and i can not see how you could use a preface anti roll bar on a facelift subframe

either use a subframe from a preface or possibly obtain a facelift anti roll bar and shackles to go with the facelift subframe

thanks Jon , so basically I can leave the facelift roll bar on the new replacement subframe and it will fit right in with everything else ?
just means its a differend dia roll bar and different bushes/shackle to original on car? ,, can live with that :-)
    cheers

I'm surprised it's worth replacing the subframe, given the low value of the cars. Chris Knott wouldn't even quote me for insurance because they said the car was basically worthless!

rest of my car is spot on , new box and clutch recentley , only prob with subframe is starting to corrode at mount where wishbone attaches , dont think it is acceptable to weld a subframe ? maybe someone else can confirm this ?
    cheers
