no i havent removed the injector and swapped it, mainly because i dont want to be shelling out for rocker gaskets twice should the head need to come off, and car wont run if i just swap electrical connections over.

    Default

    "Swapping", not "Seagoing"

Good luck with fixing it, let us know the outcome

this will be the final installment in this saga, car has went to the scrappers unfortunatly, took the boost pipe off intake this morning and it was pretty much full of oil, turbo turbine itself had ridiculous amounts of play also so rather than spending more stupid amounts of money on car i decided to just move on much as i loved the car.

you can easily get a cheap and good working 2nd hand unit unbolt the broken one and replace it... if you've had enough though it is the best option as you can sell it once youve done that... But honestly i have seen cars go to the scrappy for less... and sometimes it is because people don't want to spent no more money on new parts, because they completely disregarded used parts... you can always look on here or at facebook vectra groups to find a replacement at a decent price or even going at bargain prices I would look at that first before you decide it's the end of the road.

I know well about used parts and could of got a turbo for about £80 but going off the amount of oil in the intake system i am going to guess the intercooler would of needed at least cleaning out if not replaced and i also do not know what further damage has been done elsewhere to engine and or dpf etc also. And i had already spent close to £300-400 on the car recently which is almost half of what i paid for it not long ago so better to cut my losses and move to a different vehicle.

Uhmmm 80 pounds and a washout..... I would go for that especially with the repairs you've recently done.... if the turbo hasn't exploded parts of the impeller than it would mean that the oil seal just died... meaning there will only be oil everywhere...
And I have successfully washed out a complete exhaust system with a jetwasher hooked up to hot water and some fairy dishwashing liquid. Same can be used on all the boost pipes and the intercooler....

But it is up to you mate it's not to much of an investment, and if you still want to get rid of it, you can sell it on after you've cleaned it out.
