Driving in France
Thought I would post as just happened to us. We go to France 5 or 6 times a year, wife's 1.9 diesel never given a problem apart from 2 punctures. This time we were travelling a country road and reversed into a lane to let dog out. Got back in and wouldn't start. Had to call NFU continental breakdown, great job, hire cars, taxis recovery all paid for. All we have to pay is part, even labour covered.
problem occurs with French depannager , recovery, all they do is recover to their yard. They don't repair. After the weekend waiting and getting fobbed off by the secretary , it now seems like they won't touch British or Brit owned cars. All breakdowns have to be collected to a dealer. Ours is heading back to Wiltshire in the future, could be 4 to 6 weeks before it gets here. Probably only starter motor. Time to travel is longer than my firebird took to come over from Florida, years ago...

This will be another issue that certain individuals have decided since brexit.
