Failed MOT
Failed MOT.
O/'S & N/S front to rear brake pipes (£300 quoted. Lol yeah right, jog on) got a garage to do repair for £80
Headlamp aim so that beam "kick up" is not visible on the screen. O/S & N/S. I told him I have HIDS in and he said that's why. Is that true because there projector lenses. But on the repair bill it's got headlight alignment needed. So are HIDS still OK in the vectra c on MoT

Hids in a projector light are not a fail as designed for them.
Irrelevant of what light source you use if there’s a problem with headlight letting the light out in the correct way the problem will carry on until corrected.
btw this section says not for car related chat so you might find info already put out in troubleshooting?

That's exactly what I said when I questioned him. I'll stick halogen ones back in and get the alignment done. Then put hids back in.
They said one of my number plate bulbs was out, there quote to change was £8.50. ****** £8.50 for 10 second job. There only 20p from carparts4less. I know they have to make money but £8.50 is taking the pee

what does kick up not visible on the screen mean?
Is it The bean pattern is to low and not high enough?
Would lose bulb holders cause this? Or wouldn't it because there projector lenses anyway.

MOT PASSED.
it puzzeled me though, the bloke who retested it said to put some anti corrosion paint onto the new copper brake pipes to stop it corroding, i thought thats why they use copper piping so it doesnt corrode?
