Looking again at this for the 2.8t, found this as about the best price seems most places dont make a FMIC for the 2.8t any more. https://www.maptunparts.com/engine-c...3-v6-ttid.html
Trouble is its still mounted in the oem position IE right next to the radiator to gain lots of heat soak and still has the condenser sat in front of it to slow air flow
Ideally need some relocation brackets for the condenser to move back onto the rad then the intercooler needs to sit as far forward as possible away from the pack to allow fresh cool air over it even if part is blocked by the crash bar.
Ive also noticed and on mine that the ageing condenser does not look like its in any fit state to flow air through it. If/when i do mine ill be replacing the condenser, if i replace it now yes the oem intercooler will get more fresh air but then the condenser will get the brunt of things coming of the road and end up being poor at flowing air again.

dimensions you mentioned you could go for the biggest one in this list, it would be an upgrade and a half... but make sure you put it on when you finally put the hybrid turbo on otherwise you might have a delay in boost pressure due to you making the intake traject way bigger than it was designed and the turbo isn't up to the job (sure on full chat it'll reach it's boost pressure but you may move the boost up to 1000 rpm further if you go for the biggest one)
ps you can get them cheaper of ebay sold by a company called TOYOSPORT ( new and unused.. just saying)
The trouble is installing them, it’s not as simple as it was with the Cdti. Although I’m not one for cutting the hoses on the bends like the original easy fmic how2 does. As it’s on a bend there’s not much room for a joiner to be fitted neatly before it goes forwards then round to the cooler.
Also you’ve got plenty of brackets to make up for oil cooler lines and moving that smaller condenser back.
Believe me I’ve looked into in detail then backed away from this idea so going for the option I posted pics of a while back which follows the standard hose route.

ah B0ll0cks! get your lazy arse in gear... because i did read you want to go hybrid turbo... well you'll need a bigger intercooler if you do that so pull your fingers out, act like Nike and just do it already!
