    Default Recommended remaps in Birmingham

I'm looking to get my 1.9 CDTi 120 remapped soon.
I've looked around and there seem to be a few places using the same map that promises 157bhp but as so many are giving the same figures, it looks like a standard map off the net I don't trust that it's what's best for my car.

Any recommendations on places to go?

    Thanks

Teapot is your man. He has remapped many cars on here, and if you have the right equipment can do it remotely

Just one word to say and that is Teapot
He did my 19 around 2/3 years ago and I’ve never had any issues what’s so ever, he will live map it for you as every car performs slightly different

If you buy two tools off ebay (MPPS v13 to read and write the map file, and OPCOM to log data on a road test) then I can do the remap remotely for you.

175bhp is a bit optimistic for a standard Z19DT. They will either have excessive boost pressure which will shorten the life of the turbo, or excess fuel causing black smoke at high rpm. In my experience, around 165 bhp is a safe limit, although it does vary from one engine to the next.

Also the remaps that most of these firms sell are fairly generic, even if they do claim 'custom'. They will not give smooth, progressive power delivery right from low revs up to the red line like mine do.
