As others have said, a remap will be far better than any tuning box.

Fair comment I did speak to him some time ago and he advised opcom etc which I have purchased for the baseline reading so he can do the MAP. The only thing slowing me down is I might be getting a FMIC and Hybrid and I am not sure if its worth MAPing before that is done. I guess it depends on how long it is until I get those bits because if its going to be 6 months I will get a MAP for now then again afterwards.

whatever you are planning you'd be better of discussing it with the mapper himself and act upon his recommendations... because you might be better off with a certain hybrid turbo and a certain size of FMIC... so whatever you do speak to Teapot, he's been doing this for quite some time and he can tell you what works and what doesn't, expected power figures with certain hardware (providing your engine, clutch and DMF are in good condition) oh... and don't forget to upgrade your brakes (depending on the power hike you might be better of with the 314 or the vxr brakes up front)

I have recently fitted a DTUK CRD2+ Tuning Box to my CDTi, wow, I am really impressed. Its adjustable with 4 'maps' on it, I am using the one called the 'Abyss Map' at 0% and the power increase is very noticeable. One of the main things I like about it is the throttle is more sensitive, love it !!!

So far, if I drive the same as before the fuel consumption is at least the same, obviously trying out the power it uses more, but is so addictive.
