    Awesome.
I did grab a few more along the way as I was planning on doing a How 2 but I got into the rhythm and forgot a big chunk of it!

Okay so following on one of my previous the posts I finally found somewhere in the area to do my flexi, and it was indeed the wheel bearing that was playing up so I cracked on with these pretty quickly after the box change.

I bought a load of SMDs when I was working away with the intention of doing them bit by bit on a night and it never happened so I’ve put them to good use now.

After cleaning out the EGR in the previous update I thought I may as well just get rid, long story short this led me to Mr Teapot and subsequently ended up in me getting a full map along with EGR delete. I do have a delete kit to go on but the manifold bolts are pretty solid so I’ll fit it when I have a spare full day, can see them snapping and me needing to drill them out.

The Teapot map has highlighted a fuel pressure issue I have so I’m currently plugging away at resolving this. See link here:

    https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showt...ressure-Issues

Decided to switch over to just running this on the Vpower Diesel too from now on as it’s only coming out around £6 a tank more for me and the last tank got me an extra 40 miles in total so it’s kinda paying for itself.

I already know what’s coming in the next updates as I’ve bought some stuff already but I’m away for a little while shortly so may well be a month or 2 away. This includes a HPFP, R80 Eccentric, Fuel rail & a Rail Pressure Sensor along with some service bits & a decent Panel Filter.

PS the single tyre is due to me hitting a pothole and getting a tennis ball sized bleb

PPS it’s still filthy so no outside shots again.

    Changes since last time:

    O/S Front Wheel Bearing
    New Exhaust Flexi
    White SMD Drivers Window Switch
    White SMD Passenger Window Switch
    White SMD Dials
    White SMD Heater Panel
    White SMD Headlight Switch
    White/Red SMD CD70
    White SMD Steering Wheel Controls
    1x New tyre
Teapot Map - 380nm (F40 variant) inc EGR Delete
    Bosch Fuel Filter
    2x Cataclean Fuel Treatments
    De-restricted Airbox Mod
    LPFP Removed & Cleaned

That new tyre you fitted looks a bit lumpy - did you keep the receipt?

Haha, I’m cringing at every un-even road surface at the minute. This tyre profile is not good, I’m tempted to just get a new set but there’s 7mm on all of them

Back with another update... been busy!

Following on from the previous update, I’ve still got a fuelling issue which needs sorting. I’ve not got round to refurbishing the 2nd HPFP that I have yet so that along with the fuel rail & sensors are still all sat in a box. The car drives fine just doesn’t let me go WOT, which in this, I don’t actually ever get the urge to do anyhow, but it will be sorted sometime soon! So since last time I’ve decided to try and tidy up/fix some little niggles I had with the car, these mainly being the dent in B pillar covers, lacquer peel on the wing mirrors and a leaky aerial seal. There’s been a few other issues since September too such as a sticky rear caliper and a service interval.

So I’ve done the following since last time:
Gloss Black Painted B & C Pillar Trims
    Gloss Black Painted Mirror Bases
    Mirror Covers Re-painted
Colour Coded Insignia Aerial inc New OEM Aerial Seal
LED 501 Number Plate Bulbs (3rd Set so far!)
    ‘3500k Look’ Front 501’s
    ‘5000k Look’ Front H1s
Internal Reading Lights 501 LEDs (Front & Rear)
Custom Dial Background - (Hexagonal Carbon effect, Red/white Gauges, km/h Removed, Red Vectra Silhouette)
    Gloss Black Dial Rings
Dial Clocks Changed to Red SMD
    OEM Thermostat Replaced
    Coolant Renewal inc Flush
EGR Delete Kit - (Manifold & Throttle Body Blanks)
All EGR Pipework inc Cooler Removed
Hard piped water line (A/C pipe method)
    Brake & Clutch Fluid Renewal
Strip, Clean & Greased Front & Rear Calipers
New O/S Rear Caliper (Painted Red)
    Rear Brake Pads - Brembo
    Engine Oil - Shell Helix HX7 5w40
    Engine Oil filter - MANN
    Engine Oil flush
    Pollen Filter - MANN
    K&N Panel Air Filter
    N/S Front Wheel Bearing Unit
Another CD70 Navi Unit with Aux function & OEM Aux Tray

Generally the cars been pretty good over winter, it could do with a good detail again once the warmer weather comes in, there’s a very small knock coming from the rear and my banana arm bushes look pretty goosed so I think a few more PowerFlex bushes will be on order soon. Other than that and the Fuel System bits I don’t think a great deal will happen in the next few months.

The cars making a trip to Le Mans 24hr in June and I’ve arranged for a S2000 BTCC livery to go on it for the weekend so should hopefully get some good pictures of that and the trip in the summer! Next plans are to addressing the fuelling items and a few more small tidy up jobs.

    Some pictures (not that clean!):

I know it's been said already, but I agree that the red hatchback is the best colour (no offence to everyone who hasn't got one!).

Okay so haven’t changed much since last time, I’m getting close to buying some coilovers and spacers for it I think depending on how things go when we all finally get back to work! It’s been needing a bit of a detail for a while, I haven’t put the rotary on it as I don’t like using them outside so went for 2 passes by hand. Few after photos below. Since last time it’s had: New Cruise Control Stalk (3rd one now!) Fresh MOT (1 advisory) N/S Front Droplink Front & Rear facing dash cam The dash cam is in permanently on a hardwire kit. Le Mans has been postponed so I obviously won’t be sticking the BTCC livery on it in June and making the trip anymore but hey ho. Cheers mate, it’s not too bad for a daily run around I quite like it now.

I’m not sure how I feel about the headlights, I did toy with the idea of throwing a set of SRi ones on there when I fit the HID kit but I didn’t do it as I’m trying to only change things for something better when/if it’s needed. More like upgrade rather than replace, but the longer I’ve had it the more I like the current lights tbh, there actually isn’t any in my area with the POV spec ones they’re all black.
