You’re correct it is too small. I bought the wheels with these tyres already fit but they’re 225/35s. I think they will look a lot better once it’s lowered abit more, the car they came off was pretty low!

Quick update, was hoping to have it detailed by now but not had the time recently been struggling to get a clear 2 days where i can crack on with it.

Since last time I've changed the following list. The centre caps where bugging me, I'm really not into the Opel stuff and they where just cheap tin badges so i get some OEM centre caps and refurbed them. The rest of the stuff is just abit if upgrade rather than replace. And the wiper mech was just an essential the arm popped off mine:

    Insignia 'Mist' Washer Jets
    New Wiper Mechanism
    Rear Number Plate LED's
Powerflex outer rear spring arm bushes
    Tailord Floor Mats
    Color Coded Front V
    Fresh Vauxhall Centre caps

Finally managed to get a good stint on the car over the weekend and got it detailed. It’s been needing this since I bought it, not sure what the previous owners have done but it’s clearly never been looked after in terms of paint work. So since last time I’ve done the following:

    Full Exterior Detail
Silvertech Indicator Bulbs (Front & Rear)
    4300k HID kit
    Powerflex Rear ARB bushes

For the detail I used the following products:

Valet Pro PH Neutral Snow Foam
    Valet Pro Citrus Pre-wash
    Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo
    Bilberry Wheel cleaner
    Auto Finesse Satin Tyre Gel
    Bilt Hamber Auto Clay
    Auto Finesse Glide Clay Lube
Chemical Guys Hex Logic Pad (Orange)
    Meguiars #101 Compound
    Poor boys SSR2.5 Compound
Chemical Guys Hex Logic Pad (Red)
Autoglym SRP Collinite 476S Wax (2 Coats)
    Poorboys Wheel Sealent
    Gtechniq G5 Clear Vision

This was after claying the bottom section of 1 rear door... :

I grabbed a few 50/50s and before/after but only of the boot and doors as I didn’t have much time and it took 14 hours as it was!:

Abit of a boring update this one. Back when I got stung with the previous M32 box giving up on me I decided I’d go down the F40 route when it was convenient. I’ve done it now, it didn’t go as smooth as I hoped in all honesty but its done now atleast.

There’s a fair bit of muddled and conflicting info when it comes to the conversion so I just cracked on with it and found out myself. The main issue I hit is that I changed the rear crank oil seal while I was in there and the sealant I used was naff, 1 day later I had a fairly large oil leak which ended up in me pulling the sump off and re-sealing the full thing which wasn’t the nicest of jobs to do

Whilst I was there I did abit of a clean up on the intake side of things too as I’d developed a little bit of a misfire at part throttle under load, plus I felt it was probably well over due. Turns out the seal on the plastic cover was doing such a good job that it had actually not leaked any and resulted in the insides being totally full of oil. There was more in there than in the oil filter housing!

So a summary of what’s changed since last time:

    OEM Grey Wheel Nut Covers
    Engine Bay Clean
Nav Aerial Moved from Dash to Roof & Hidden
    F40 Gearbox
F40 Top Gearbox Mount (Chassis & Box)
    F40 Lower Front Gearbox Mount
    F40 Lower Rear Gearbox Mount
    F40 Gear Selector Cables
    F40 8v Flywheel (New OEM)
    F40 Clutch Kit (New OEM)
    F40 Release Bearing (New OEM)
    Flywheel Bolts
    Rear Crank Oil Seal (OEM)
    Gearbox Oil (OEM)
    Fuel Treatment Engine
    Oil Engine
    Oil Filter
    2 x Inner Driveshaft Boots
    2 x Driveshaft Seals
    Sump Removed & Re-Sealed
    Clutch Fluid Renewed
    Throttle Body Stripped & Cleaned
All EGR Components Removed & Cleaned
    MAP Sensor Removed & De-coked

    Few pictures along the way:

There she is filthy and in need of a serious clean.

It’s due a service and I’ve got a-bit of a rough wheel bearing on the front, so these will be done in the coming weeks. The rear strip colour match isn’t good enough so I’m going to do that again, along with removing that aerial and putting some sort of shark find type unit on there. Other than that I might treat it to some spacers and coilovers in the coming months but I’m trying to hold off on some sort of deal/2nd hand offer for the coilovers.

I didn’t realise I had that many pictures when I’d started writing that!

For anybody interested in costs & suppliers I paid the following:

    F40 Gearbox, mounts, selector cables, driveshafts - £120 (2nd hand - Facebook)
Flywheel, Clutch Kit, Release Bearing, Transmission Oil - £433 (All OEM spec - www.neobros.co.uk)
Rear Crank Oil Seal - £40 (Vauxhall Dealer)
Flywheel Bolts - £7 (Euro Car Parts)
Driveshaft Seals & CV Boots - £32 (Andrew Page)

the rest is just generic service stuff really.

Also worth noting that if you do it before your box gives up you’ve got some stuff to sell on. The clutch and flywheel in my car only had around 40,000 miles on it. I’ve sold this for £110 and also sold the box for £150 which held re-coup a bit of the cost
