I'm going round in circles trying to have an issue with my cdti 1.9 150 bhp Signum engine sorted out and I'm seeking advice from members in the North Yorkshire area who can recommend a good garage/specialist. Thanks in anticipation.

not quite North Yorks, but Diesel Bob over near Clitheroe is VERY good.

because........SIGNUM!
Thanks, I may need him. The local Bosch garage can't find the fault causing the engine to stutter, feels like a slight misfire, when running in the mid rev range, at normal operating temperature and on low load at 40 - 50 mph. They've replaced the cheap EGR valve that I fitted with a VX part and also the intercooler that was leaking.
They're still investigating and say that they can get the car to run smoothly if they isolate the turbo, but the fault returns when they reconnect it.
Does this ring ring any bells with anyone?
Have you looked at injector wiring it’s a common fault

as above - 3rd injector.
or 2nd or 4th

All four injectors have had the repair kit fitted and are testing serviceable. What the technician working on the car can't fathom out is why when the turbo is activated the engine "misfires", when it's deactivated it runs perfectly. Deactivating the turbo to resolve this is out of the question.
This all started by the engine going into safe mode with the EM light illuminated for a couple of seconds, then reverting back to normal. This happened three times over a few weeks when the engine was under load overtaking. I changed the EGR valve and the injector connections so that I would not be anxious and waiting for it to reoccur. The garage have already replaced the intercooler that was split and the connecting pipe.
Getting some live data would be best and asking Teapot if he would take a look?

have they checked the vnt mechanism on the turbo? have they tried and check the turbo actuator for leaks (works of vacuum)? have they made sure not one of the vacuum lines is leaking? have they made sure non of the boostpipes is leaking? have they tested the MAP sensor for accurate readings? have the checked the MAF for accurate readings?
if not i would do as suggested and contact TEAPOT... he is the man when it comes to stuff like this unless you find someone with experience with these engines and the knowledge to read the live data and understand what it actually means... because it is possible for sensors to work intermediate without leaving a DTC and if you don't know the right values even a logging session with all the right parameters would leave a person clueless...
Problem turned out to be a damaged pressure/vacuum valve, the item attached above the radiator. I also had a cheap EGR valve replaced, send back and refunded, car running well. I had a EGR blanking plate, with hole, in the car that I had bought to try and resolve the fault myself initially and the garage have fitted it that I queried whether it was needed with the new valve. They will remove it if I require it. I am finding are wet marks on the drive below back of the exhaust pipe and I'm thinking that's it's related to the EGR blanking as it did not happen until the latest work was done. Before I take it back, any thoughts would be appreciated.
