Thanks for the kind words, but it was not me who got the forum working again.
Oh no... way outside my knowledge zone.
"Admin" and a silent colleague called John fixed the forum.

As for using OpCom / VauxCom or Tech 2 to diagnose the issue... it would be nice if it was possible.

As for my input. I built up the original topic tables and posted up the early How2's in November 2011. Since then I have only specialised in ALDL 10 pin diagnostics and Infotainment stuff upto about 2012.

All this really modern stuff especially 2014 onwards often needs MDI and TIS2Web / GlobalTIS anyway.

At present there is still an issue with attachments but all else is spot on.

Attachments now okay...

As for your replies... it is nice to know that I am not the only member with a wife / partner / psycho with the intermittent "strop mode" fault.

I know this a very old thread, but it is sort of relevant.

It is my sad duty to advise that the head honcho of the Opcomusers forum passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning. (15/12/2020).

There are no details of the cause of his passing.

Kevin who was often known as Fire26662 was quite prominant on many Vauxhall forums for giving free diagnostic advice.

He is also fondly remembered for being a "grumpy old git" with a huge dollop of dry humour and friendly banter.

Of course he will be missed greatly by those of us blessed with his friendship.
Rest well my friend.

The forum is still up and running, although the long term future is uncertain.
As with many niche forums, traffic has reduced significantly over the past few years.
It will be traffic and relevance that will dictate the future of the forum.

As an update -
It has been agreed by the admin time to start winding up the Opcomusers forum.

An exact date has not yet been decided, but I am estimating before Easter.

May I thank everyone who has been a member - past and present, for the input, comments and questions over the past 9 1/2 years.

Nope - the update is a 'news update'.
The site is being prepared for closure.
No set date yet, but I guestimate it will be Easter time.

Yeah people keep forgetting English isn't everyone's native language .. so yeah a different way of saying it would've made more sense, don't worry English isn't that bad... there are about 4 other languages that I speak that have way worse use of saying stuff that if you aren't a native speaker you'd get wrong every single time.

Tell me about it, have you heard them speak in Yorkshire?
