Changing a stock radio unit
First, i apologize if this question has previously been asked (very likely) i had a browse and unable to find anything relevant.
My question is, if i am to change my stock radio in my newly purchased 57 plate Vectra SRi, would i lose all functions on the built in screen? (date, time, range etc)

I don’t personally know but you could try unplugging your current head unit and see what happens to your display.
I don’t know what your reasons are for changing it but maybe a comfort unit might suit your needs, speak to Woody, at least that way everything would defiantly work.

No, only functions you'll loose is the ability to change the time unless you use a connects2 steering wheel adapter and obviously the ability to show track or station info on the screen, all other functions will work as normal via the steering wheel controls and heater controls if you have climate.

I would hate not being able to change time.. OCD and all that jazz.
No idea what a connects2 adapter is or how to use it let alone fitting.
The only reasons i'm even considering the change is, no AUX port or Bluetooth ability as it's a cd30 unit. I suppose you get what you pay for hmm. That being said, would love a touchscreen navi in my car!
On another note, need a replace parcel shelf and my drivers door has a horrible clunking noise when opening and closing.. any ideas what might be causing this and if it's a relative cheap/easy fix? Car was purchased from private seller and the noise seems to be coming from the metal strut connecting the door and holds it open on certain notches.. (not the best as describing things but I hope that's sufficient)
Will upload a photo of my car when it gets valeted.. not be this week i'm afraid..
Here's a preview
