Default Replacing CD30 with Android 8.0 headunit?

    Hi,
I'm thinking of replacing my Vectra's CD30 with this Android 8.0 headunit:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Mul...dp/B07C2NXHL6/
    D'you think it's a wise idea?
Is there anything I should know before starting?
    Many thanks,
    C.

Vehicle : Vectra C 3.2 Gsi Auto (Zavoli LPG with Flashlube)

Trim : Gsi with loads of "Extras"

    Engine : 3.2 Z32SE (LPG)

    Year : 2004

    Mileage : 131,000

Would suggest getting a few more monies together and then go Trio / Kenwood / Pioneer or even a better genuine Vx unit ... CDC40 / CD70 with Colour Screen (CID) before taking this route TBH

We have a guy up here who runs his own in car audio business and he won't touch these---and if a car comes in for him to look at with a problem with the audio and the car has one of these fitted he just walks away---seems they are not too good a quality-----Dave

Thanks mate but monies are tough right now. That's why I'm thinking about this. Also it offers better GPS than either CDC40/CD70 as well as DAB+.

I'm also rather sceptical about lesser-known chinese brands so that's why I've gone with a 2-year warranty. Fingers crossed!

Exactly the same one? IF so, what's NOT perfect?
Also do you have any photos of your installation?
Any tips? Do steering wheel controls still work properly?
I've been somewhat encouraged by these videos:

Whatever happens I'll do my best to document the install and type a HOW2 for the forums

Remember it's not designed for the vectra.
It will sit around of the dash due to the centre swedge on it.

I wouldn’t say having £285 to spend on a HU would be classed as not having much money
With that kind of money you could get a new double din HU from the top makes like Kenwood or Alpine and still have enough for an adapter for the steering controls.
