    Default Service Indicator

    Hi All,

I got my 07 Design 1.9 CDTi Company car in March. I can't seem to get the service indicator to show the miles left before service. I tried pushing the rest button with the ignition off but nothing happens.

    Any ideas??

I thought Vauxhall had got rid of that on the facelift cars?

It's been turned off on my pre-facelift now too.

Generally, I think the flex-service idea has bitten the dust, so the dealer gets you to come in every 1yr/20k instead.

Vx dropped that option a while back on the late pre-facelifts - it was called ECOFlex and showed you how many miles to a service. Now it's just a straightforward 12 months/30,000 miles (for diesel) service schedule - which is called ECOService. ECOService never showed the mileage due to a service. The car will tell you when it's due for one either due to mileage or time.

My 05 Pre-facelift shows 31,000 to next service (just had it serviced) so is it still on eco flex then?

With Opel you still can choose between EcoService (30.000 km) and EcoService-flex (50.000 km), but flex is no longer standard.

Anyhow mine is on EcoService and the remaining distance is still visible if you push the trip-button within 10 seconds after you took your key out. It comes on automatically (InSP) if the next service is due within 500 km or one week.

I thought the standard was reduced to 2 years / 20K miles down from 2 years / 30K miles?

    Yip, same as mine
I bought mine at 10K miles, due its first service at June 2007 / 30K miles
On eventually working out how to perform service checking the display showed "25,000"
Initially I thought this meant the next service was to be performed at that mileage, but after the correct Manual was eventually found for my car this did indeed confirm this meant there was actually 25K miles to the NEXT service

My car is now on 27K miles and is showing "4,000"
I now need to arrange for the service coupon and then book the car in for its first service
The car also doesn't have a Service Book, have been arguing over that for several eMails and letters!
The two dealerships advise the car doesn't have one, VX say it should, but noone can supply one...
