Ive check all the part and there all correct and it all worked correctly just the rain sensor doesn’t pickup with unless you throw a bucket of water on it. But it a move it back by 2mm ish it will pick up just a water drop and the more water I put on the faster it goes however soon as I place it back on the window it stops plus on the inside of the mirror cover there two clips thing where the rain sensor bracket is meant to go on! That’s why I asked if there was some type of ring that meant to go on the window to give the distance and the bracket fixes to that.

If there was one it would be in the parts catalogue if it doesn't state it than it isn't needed... maybe you need to use some hot glue and fix it in place originally I think they use 3M window sealer (you can get it in strips) and it can be moulded to hold it at said distance.

That is if no-one comes up with another fix for it

What does yours even look like? You don’t mention if you retro fitted it the correct way or the cheap way?

mine just fits to the window without anything in between, post a pic of your set up, like how are you fastening it to the windscreen and maybe a pic or two of the sensor itself..

As above. Need to see what kind of install and windscreen you have.

The rain/light sensor fits into a dedicated housing and is "clamped" to the windscreen via a silicone type "washer" using the inbuilt clamps in the housing.

If your install is anything less than the "factory" style install, it might explain your problems.
