    Default Mapping

    Hi Guys,
Not really been around much but have done lots of searching and fault finding, so great forum.

I'm looking to blank the ERG and glue the swirl flaps open so would like to map them out to save faults appearing.
Would also like a remap of the ecu for better performance and economy.

I'd like the windows to go down when opening the car, press and hold the button. It should be able to do this but I can't access it?

Is there a list of functions that can be added to the ecu, like a list somewhere?

Car is a Vectra C Estate 1.9Cdti 2008. Is there anything you'd recommending doing other than the two above, what about removing the DPF inners? Any advantage to that?

Would like a mapping/tuning place or person, any recommends?
I've tried to PM Paulvectrac but his in box is full.

    Thanks

definitely get rid of the DPF, and have it mapped out.

Paul would be the obvious choice, being local, but it looks like he's not been around for a while.

if you're computer literate, you can remap it yourself with a remote map from @Teapot.

not sure why your windows don't go down? is the 'one touch' function working from the window switch?

    Thanks guys.
I've got one touch up and down without issue.

I get intermittent white smoke on idle, lots of it, looks like I'm on fire. Not helped by a leaky flexible hose on the exhaust, that's being fixed in the coming week.
Fuel consumption rises from 0.2 per hour to 1.0 per hour. All fuel economy through the gears is ridiculous. It sorts itself out and returns to 'normal' after maybe 10 miles?

Last weekend we went over to Mablethorpe near Grimsby, 190 miles there. Ran nicely till we were heading home, cruising at 70 mph and everything went sluggish.
No acceleration, black smoke, felt like misfiring or starvation at all ranges.
Had to pull off the motorway, had a look, saw nothing obvious, didn't check the swirl valves though. Must check them.

Oh yeah, we've had Engine block light first off, then it went off and was replaced by spanner light, that went out and the engine block came back, this morning there are no lights !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to sort this out as I'd like to get another couple of years from this car, I really do like it as a load carrier for our 4 Dobermann!

But what about the new MOT rules regarding DPF filters? I thought if it was remove then it would be a failure?

Correct, but also even gutted dpf will show up as any visual smoke/soot is detected on the smoke test its an instant fail. Im getting a ticket on my Teapot tuned dpf gutted wagon before the 20th of May before the new rules kick in.

There is a garage near me that has brought the new rules In already, im note sure if its against the law of not but I know of 1 car that has failed on DPF filter.
