Default Nearside indicator out, but bulb tested and working. Can headlight be dismantled?

    As titled.

Nearside indicator had failed. I had the headlight out and unplugged it, took the bulb holder and bulb out. Put 12v across the bulb holder and it lit up.

Put it all back together and or was fine for a few days then went again.

Have again removed bulb and bulb holder. Bulb was stool fine but changed it anyway. Also tested the supply to the headlight unit, this was fine. So now I'm stumped. There must be a fault inside the headlight unit.

Can it be dismantled or do I need to start thinking about replacement?

I have some bi-xenon HID custom-built so replacement will be last resort. I was also thinking about rigging up a relay taking a feed from the side repeater to drive the bulb holder using some repair wiring to direct to the bulb holder, and a canbus suppressor on the original supply.

    Arghhhh!

Okay, I'll look into that. Just to check - UEC = Under-bonnet Electrical Centre?
