Default Resetting and programming door modules

Hi all, need some advice please.........

Im going to be retro-fitting Power Fold mirrors to my Vectra very soon.

I have both mirror units (genuine) all built up and ready to be fitted. I also have brand new JN and JP door modules.

Im fine with taking everything apart as ive had door cards off before when i upgraded both my original mirrors to auto dimming types. I also have a Tech2 which ive used a few times but what im not so sure about is Tech2 resetting/divorcing my DDM and PDM (JR and JQ) and programming the JN and JP modules for my car.

I know the new modules will have to be programmed for RHD and the Powerfold Mirror function for each module set to 'NOT PRESENT'

Could anyone who has done this themselves be so kind as to give me some pointers as to the Tech2 un-pairing and pairing of door modules process please.

I have the security code for my car but when it comes to programming of the DDM and PDM do I need TIS2000 to give security access permission to the Tech2 module 1st?

    Many thanks in advance
    Jez

No mate, nothing that I can see. Ive done plenty of reading on here with regard to the Powerfold mirrors mod and what I would need to upgrade from my standard ones.

Thanks to all those posts and info ive be able to get everything I need ready to go on the car, its really the divorcing of the old door modules and programming of the new ones with my Tech2 that I'm not sure about and TIS2000 security access.

You just need the codes from the new parts if they are not divorced and your cars one

Thanks for your reply again mate.

The JN and JP door modules I have to go on the car are brand new and I have my car pass code so that's all good.

Its more the Tech2 menus that I have to navigate to do the divorcing and programming bit and whether or not I will need to my TIS2000 on the laptop to grant permission to the Tech2 to program the new modules.

You don’t need to grant anything, @Matty2Fatty had done this a few times over the last month there’s an option that basically does it all for you but I’ve not played with one so can’t say where it is I’m sure it’s possible to work it out something to do with a module check

As some point over next couple of months, I'll be creating a new type of techincal section whereby people can ask questions about programming etc etc and it can be used for reference, (it will be support for tech2 / mdi and NOT OPCOM, although the guides will be applicable to it if supported by your version), plus I will also make up guides as well. Will probably be for the full members.. and/or regular members with certain amount of posts/time on here (so the facebook people dont flock on to grab them like they did for the how2s)
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services
