I'm sure they do a slightly less powerful bulb with a heatsink instead of a fan. I think it is about the same size though so you would still have the same problem with getting the caps to fit.

as others have said, HiD's will be illegal soon unless you do meet rigid new rules. I had exactly the same problem, did Duncan's fix (already mentioned
    https://vectra-c.com/forum/showthrea...ghlight=lights
then fitted better bulbs, I went with Halfords 100%+ purely because they were on offer, and had no more problems on unlit twisty A or B roads, I suggest you at least try the fix first, it'll cost you noting but a little time.

whilst the short view is clearer, i would say there wasnt really that might different to the previous bulbs which were standard ones,

they are in the correct way round
they are fitted firm and flush
    the lens's are clean
the bulb lens in the frame is opaque , but i think its meant to be like that ( can they be removed )

so what do you think ?

As i read so many reports that the difference is so vast, from normal bulbs, at the moment i am not impressed., something must be not right.

the way i fitted them was removed bumper and undone the 3 screws and slotted headlamp unit out, as it was so much easier, and gave em a good clean from flies n leaves trapped.
I did not open the unit up apart from the rubber boot, to take bulb out.

so what ya think could be wrong ?
very little will give you a big improvement unless you do the fix first, as the beam will still be too low. You could put 150w bulbs in, if the beams are set too low you still won't get distance.

altered beams - there is a bit better distance, but i wouldnt say WOW what a difference for brightness,

my peugeot 206 had an awesome range with standard tesco bulbs !!!!

Will do for now, until i get some of those LED lights with fans, and see how they fare
