Any gardeners out there, lawn query...
Hey folks,
Im after some help and advice please.
Towards the back end of last year, I had some extra lawn laid out around the perimeter of the garden.
The old lawn is growing upwards wonderfully, but my old lawn looks flat and patchy.
What can I do to make the old lawn grow better, and more upwards rather than sideways and every other way but up?
Is there a specific lawn feed/seeds that I can use to make it better? Also, im seeing a very blatant line where the old meets the new, what can I do to aid this also?
Many thanks,
G.

I would have thought any lawn fertiliser or lawn sand would perk it up.
Evergreen, Westland, or even the unbranded stuff that places like Wilko sell. It's all got the same approx. sulphates and nitrates in it.
Once all the moss, weeds, and stuff has dies off, it will need a good scarifying to pull all the dead stuff out. Either by hand using a rake = hard work, or you might be able to hire a lawn scarifier, which looks a bit like a lawn mower. It's quite aggressive and you initially will be horrified with what it's done to your lawn. But once you've aerated the lawn and sown fresh seed into any bare or thin patches, it should look a whole lot better once the new seed has grown.
