The next VBOA National Rally will be supported again this year by LMF Vauxhall, As most of you are aware the national rally was held at a new venue in 2017 , Everybody that attended agreed that the site was quieter and had a much more relaxed atmosphere.
This year there will be a licensed bar along with live music on both friday and saturday night .
It has been requested that members in attendance do not leave until after around 4pm ( the complaint was that sunday is the main day for showing the cars yet members of different clubs were all leaving around midday leaving the site looking for visitors ) .
Myself and plasma this year have to be on site from thursday so that we are present when members start arriving on the friday
For those of you that did not attend last year the location is Market Harborough showground in leicestershire, the venue is approximately 20 miles north of the old venue at billing*
75 acre site security fenced and a 15 acre day car park
Two fully secure gated entrances
Camping friendly level ground
Mains water on site*
Electricity via generator (no electric hook up)
Portable showers and toilets
Refreshment area and marquee
Saturday evening entertainment (live band)
On site catering
local travelodge and premier inn, mcdonalds and supermarkets etc.
Exclusive event use*
Chemical toilet disposal point
On site security

please note the official dates for the rally is the 14th and 15th july however we will be able to access the site on the friday for those of us that like to go and set up early

do they have things for kiddies to do there, that's gonna be the clincha with my herd..?
We are interested in coming but i may have come straight off my flight into heathrow on Friday evening to do this and go straight back to the airport on Sunday evening to fly back out.... i would have to leave before 16:00, I thinking this could prove to be a little tricky...

Not knowing the area whatsoever, which Travelodge and Premier Inn is the closest to the grounds ?

Travelodge Market Harborough is not far from a show ground, around 2 miles iirc. Have a look on their website, show ground postcode is LE16 7QB if that helps Woody

There are 2 hotels roughly 1.5 miles from the site postcode and both are making the most of the demand for this weekend (Friday & Saturday nights).

I decided this was too much for 2 nights and was advised it might be worth contacting the Angel Hotel, High Street, Market Harborough tel 01858 462702 which is 1 mile from the showground, so I did
Their main bedrooms are fully booked but they have a few "Contractor's Rooms" available so I got one for £58 for the 2 nights (single room).
The bedrooms all have TV & En-suite but are not decorated to the higher standard of the main bedrooms.
Anyway, for anyone interested in sharing, they now only have 2 rooms left
