no power to all roof lights

ok spent the morning testing and messing lol all working again had to run 2 new wires from the rear fuse board to the front main light and all working as it should fingers crossed its fixed thank you for all your help

Hello. I'm a new Vectra owner and have acquired an 08 Vectra SRI 150 Estate. The above parts do not work. I've checked some fuses which my garage recommended and changed them, just to be sure. Nothing changed. I have read some of the threads and I'm not sure what to try next. I have a Haynes manual, some patience and very little electrical know how. So, can anyone help with an idiots diagnostic guide/fix guide before I hand it over to a garage and spend a load of cash?

Since the last post (and enigmatic reply from Dog Book) its been in to the garage. They worked out that it was the roof ribbon (!) and suggested that I need to drop the head lining. Looking at what you guys have said, I'm not convinced this is right. Can anyone give me some help as to what to do, what to connect and such. I got the part number from further up this thread, but I could do with knowing how to fit the thing. Bear in mind I am no electrician and a reasonably rubbish fiddler with motors. Help?
