Hi all

after checking the site out as a non member for a while I’ve decided to join up as you guys seem to know what your talking about and also I’ve eventually decided to keep the gsi and start spending on her (not telling the misses though)

Had mine a couple of years but seeing how she’s still going strong even with her faults makes me want to fix her up as no other other (in my budget at least) is such a good all rounder.

Gsi’s to me are the ultimate sleeper, looks like a normal Vectra c until the revs start rising and that lovely v6 induction makes an appearance 😬

Mine is standard baring drilled air box but planning on improving her not out right modifying

well hope to to speak to you guys in the future with any insight I can give and any insight you’s can offer

Hi thanks guys

picture was from the summer spent a day of washing and waxing

True car but had a mishap last year, ended up mounting a kerb and bent the lower wish bone (partially my fault) little to quick / oncoming car crossed white line on a corner pushing me to choose head on or kerb damage 😪

drives ok but still not perfect so after cam belt is done I’m saving penny’s to swap out the strut and springs for the b12 kit as heard really good feed back off this site then have it all tracked and back to normal 🤞

I've had my GSi for 11 and a bit years. It's now done 217,149 miles, 173,xxx miles driven by yours truly. Mine is nothing like as tidy as yours, which is a lovely example! But it is mechanically getting there and I have plans to sort the body and paint. Eventually.

Anyway, consider starting a Vehicle Diaries thread so we... I... can follow what you're up to with your Vectra.

Some mileage that, reassures me about keeping mine for the long haul

yeah not bad idea, have to have a look and start it up

booked for cam belt inc water pump and replacement plugs end of this month (pump and plugs whilst it’s stripped down)

have some of the iridium plugs which I got with the car which I never got around to fitting and heard mixed reviews but I’m thinking whilst they haven’t cost me anything worse case they’ll be new and can’t hurt
