Ride to work..?

Do you have to take it to work a certain % of the time, or can you whack it on Ebay and buy a set of alloys with the proceeds *lol*

great minds.... Na seriously, i wont ride it to work but i will use it, if i can hold of the lure of Ebay

sorry for being thick, but what is the ride to work scheme

Its a government scheme to ecourage a healthier lifestyle, basically you pay for the bike each month before tax and Ni on your wages, save upto 50% on purchase prices and the company also save money on this too...

unless you're a professional mountain biker, dont waste £1000 on a bike

Thats the maximum amount the scheme allows-you can spend as little as £275 -for £300 I bought a Giant Yukon hardtail which has the same alloy frame as the more expensive Giants.

You just replace the cheaper bits ( pedals, chain and gear sprockets ) with better quality gear as they wear out, which they will if you're riding to work.

See my opinion on this scheme is different mate...

The scheme is going to happen every year, so i am going to partake in it every year and basically buy the best bike i can. When it comes to next years new bike i will flog the 'old' one and start again...makes sence to me
