    Default Confused

These are apparently both Astra H gear lever assys.

One from a VXR with all the same mechanism as my Vectra's - it is a 6 speed but can fit in to a 5 speed without issue.

The other one is a Brand New Astra H 6 speed gear lever bought from Vauxhall. But its shaft is really short does not have the white bit with the side bit that sticks out for Reverse I believe.

    The part number is 93185666.

For the life of me I cant work out if it just wont fit or if you can removed components from the VXR one and fit them to the New one.

    Can anyone shed any light?

As you can see its clearly a different type with different shifting mech's and does not use the 2 cables whatever your gear change uses as i don't know what the 1.8 has.

Thanks Dog_Book I thought the would be the same as they are both 6 speed for the astra H and therefore will go in the C - its getting returned Tuesday as its no use

you need the one on the left.
remove the thing that's attached to the bottom ball....this will clip into the cables.......the one on the right will not fit the 1.8

@RBH the left one is a vxr astra h but the knob is more worn than id like for my interior - the other one which has proven useless is brand new but as ive know found out although it is astra h as well is completely different and no good for my car
