Considering first Insignia CDTi - Pointers please
Hi,
Currently running an 05 Elite Vec C 1.9cdti and am looking at getting a 2009-2013 Insigina cdti in the very near future.
There seems to be quite a wide choice of trim levels out there and coming from an elite I'm looking for something at least similar for it's features although not massively important.
I was looking more for advice on what major parts should have/will need replacing in the near future on these 160cdti engines/models?
ie: DMF, DPFs, Gearbox etc etc
Looking at spending between 4-6k, milage under 100k if possible.
Thanks in advance

Most places charge £200-350 to do it Vauxhall yes £700
sump needs to be removed but there's 2 bolts at the gearbox that may need them to split it
if it's had full service and regular oil changes you nay be ok
switching the car off when it's doing a regen is one reason it fails as diesel gets dumped in to the oil
this in turn softens the seal
jobs easy to if your good with spanners
later cars seem to be better the biturbo engine don't seem to be effected
but it's all pot luck
